Welcome to Dwello. By creating an account or using the Dwello app, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Dwello, you agree to be bound by these Terms. These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Dwello.

2. Description of Service

Dwello is a home management app that helps homeowners track maintenance tasks, items and appliances, service history, spending, and the pros they work with. It includes AI-powered features — an advisor that can answer questions and take actions in your account, scanning that fills in details from photos and files, and optional AI-generated general guidance in SOS — and a place to keep emergency information such as shutoff locations and utility numbers.

3. Account Registration

You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Dwello.
One person may not maintain multiple accounts.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you enter into Dwello (home details, tasks, photos, etc.). By using the app, you grant us a limited license to store and process that content solely to provide the service to you. We do not claim ownership of your data.

5. AI Features and SOS

Dwello's AI features — the Advisor, scanning, and general guidance in SOS — are powered by artificial intelligence and are intended for general informational purposes only. They do not constitute professional advice (legal, financial, construction, safety, or otherwise). AI output may be inaccurate or incomplete: review scanned details before saving them, and check any task or expense the Advisor creates for you.

      Important: Always consult a qualified professional before making significant decisions about your home. AI responses may occasionally be inaccurate. Use your own judgment.
    

Emergencies (SOS). SOS is a convenience for finding your own saved information and general guidance during a home emergency. It is not an emergency service and does not contact anyone on your behalf.

      In any emergency that threatens life or safety — including fire, a gas smell, or electrical danger — leave the building and call 911 first. General guidance in SOS is generated by AI and may be wrong for your situation; SOS shows it below its standard safety steps and your saved information, never in place of them. Utility phone numbers shown as "suggested" come from a general list and may be out of date or wrong for your address; verify them with your provider. Information you saved yourself, such as shutoff locations, is only as accurate as what you entered.
    

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use Dwello for any unlawful purpose.
Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or disrupt the service.
Upload content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes on others' rights.
Use the AI Advisor to generate harmful or abusive content.

7. Subscription and Payments

Dwello is currently free to use. If we introduce paid subscription tiers in the future, they will be managed through Apple in-app purchases. Pricing and billing terms will be presented clearly at the time of purchase and governed by Apple's App Store terms.

We will provide advance notice before any charges apply. You will never be charged without explicit consent.

8. Disclaimers

Dwello is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that maintenance recommendations will be accurate for your specific home situation. Use the app as one of several tools in managing your home.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dwello and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including any decisions made or actions taken based on AI features, including general guidance in SOS, or suggested phone numbers.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time in the app under Settings → Account → Delete Account, or by contacting contact@dwello.homes. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
